About Diana

It started with a reorganisation.

I started as a PA at Holland Jachtbouw in 2008. While I was there, the yard went through a reorganisation, and my own job was one of the positions that went. I saw up close what a period like that asks of people, and how closely the work is tied to how they’re doing. I wanted to understand that better.

So I went on to study applied psychology, focusing on work and organisations. Alongside my studies I worked at the Talent Management research group at Leiden University of Applied Sciences.

In 2016 I went back to the industry as PA to the directors of Feadship and De Voogt Naval Architects. At that level you have to be an all-rounder. One day it’s an event, the next a board meeting, and in between there’s something confidential to handle or a difficult decision to think through.

Working at the most renowned yards means a non stop striving for perfection.  It's a pace I love, and it has a downside too. I’m good at keeping everything running, and not always good at noticing when I’m the one running on empty.

Over the years I’ve seen what it takes to build a yacht, and for how long. You need a good plan, but it’s the people who carry it out.

In 2024 I left Feadship, moved to the south of France and started on my own. Leaving a job I liked wasn’t an easy decision. Since then I’ve also been working as a Gallup-certified CliftonStrengths coach, helping people get more out of what they’re naturally good at.

Suited Support is where all of this comes together. I take work off leaders’ plates, think things through with them, and help to look after the people around them.
